BAND
BIOGRAPHY |
The River City Blaskapelle is a 20 member brass and
woodwind band based in West Bend, Wisconsin that
performs authentic German music. The group was
formed in 1986 by several members of the West Bend
Community Band who had a profound interest in
performing music of their German heritage. |

INSTRUMENTATION |
The band consists of one flute, four clarinets, two
flügelhorns, two trumpets, three trombones, one
tuba, two tenor horns, two baritones, percussion and
two vocalists. |

MUSIC |
The band's arrangements include music from Germany,
Austria and the Czech Republic. |
|
EVENTS |
Now in our 39th year, the band's popularity has grown while
performing at Germanfest and Oktoberfest
celebrations including the United German Societies
of Milwaukee Oktoberfest, Schawbenhof Oktoberfest,
Mai Fest, German-American Day in Stone Bank and West
Bend Germanfest. The River City Blaskapelle has
recorded 4 CDs for your listening pleasure.
